Smart contract risk is real everywhere, and pretending otherwise is how users get hurt. This page lists the failure modes that have actually burned launchpad users, what commas does about each, and what risk remains.

The classic launchpad failure modes

The Meteora DBC leg

Launches on the external venue run on Meteora’s Dynamic Bonding Curve into DAMM v2: contracts that are audited, immutable to us, and already carry billions in volume across the Solana ecosystem. On that venue commas never holds custody of the curve or the pool at all; we attach the synthetic layer (oracle, hedging, item pools) alongside, and creator fee splits are enforced by Meteora’s own program, not ours. This is a deliberate architecture choice: the highest-risk piece of any launchpad: the money-holding curve: can run on the most battle-tested contracts on Solana rather than on fresh code.
